Elena Michaels is back! Things are going well with Clay, she’s working as a researcher for the Pack, travelling over the US, then lured to a meeting with two witches convinced someone is abducting supernaturals. After a sceptical Elena is persuaded there are other supernatural beings beside werewolves, such as witches, vampires and half-demons, she attends a meeting of the supernatural council to figure out what to do. After deciding nothing useful and not agreeing on a plan of action, the meeting ends and everyone leaves. On her way home Elena is abducted.....

Taken to a secret compound in the woods, Elena joins others in becoming a lab rat for scientists to study. Never a person to sit around and accept things, she meets fellow captives and must work out who to trust in order to gather information about the place and plans her escape. The bad guys are hidden in plain sight and Elena tries to figure out who they are.

Fast-paced and exciting, this is the 2nd book in the Otherworld series. It introduces characters who will play a role as the series progresses, such as Paige and Savannah. I love how Clay comes to rescue Elena only to find she’s recued herself.

A fantastic read - I love this series!
