Monster Dionysus is a mythological dog catcher/pest control expert. He can turn various colours, which give him various abilities. Judy is a shelf stacker at an all-night supermarket, who first meets Monster when she finds a yeti eating ice cream in the freezer. Together, they face a plague of cryptobiologicals, an ancient menace, and the extermination of the human race. (In other words, your usual crises.)

This was a fun read, with an interesting idea, that most humans don’t see magic, and those who do observe any tend to forget it pretty quickly.
